The Marine Biodiveristy Atlas for the Bohol Sea (MBABS) is a digital geodatabase aimed to support marine conservation initiatives in the region, particularly spatially explicit and inclusive conservation planning. The project is a collaboration between the WCS Philippines team, the WCS Global Spatial Planning Team, and the University of the Philippines – Marine Science Institute (UPMSI), through the Marine Environment and Resources Foundation (MERF), Inc.
The Atlas hosts over 100 datasets centered in and around the Bohol Sea. The Map Viewer allows for all of these data layers to be explored, visualized and downloaded by any user. All relevant information about each data layer can be found in the metadata document and a complete documentation of the data can be viewed and downloaded in the Bohol Sea Atlas Report as a PDF.
